4.2·@Wix Kyiv Office · Mixed Bag Vol. 13
This is one love. It's incredibly hard to pinpoint the origins of this wine, but some participants of the blind tasting guessed Beaujolais, Jura, or Galicia. Regardless, it has a beautiful bouquet of Nordic berries, cocoa, cherry pie, raw meat, damp earth, mushrooms, and bitter herbs. Fresh, insanely quaffable, and wonderfully balanced. I want more!
4.3·@Lo Bar
This Pinot captivates from the first sniff, offering a charming bouquet that masterfully blends the indulgent aromas of milk chocolate and cherry pie with the more nuanced, subtle notes of raw meat and bitter herbs. The slight strain within its profile is artfully integrated, contributing to a harmonious and delicious overall experience.
On the palate, the wine is delicate, juicy, and remarkably quaffable, boasting good structure, acidity, and a long aftertaste. Remarkably, it eschews the typical characteristics of new world wines, presenting itself with a level of sophistication that is accessible and unpretentious. It’s crafted to offer comfort and joy, succeeding splendidly in that mission.
Tasting this slightly aged Pinot Noir from Gentle Folk evokes memories of wines from Timo Mayer. There is this unique and expressive potential. It soothes and delights.
